Marking 50 Years Since Ararat Felt the Thunder
This absolutely amazing high impact Tribute Show to AC/DC features Brendan (BJ) Vernal on vocals, bringing to life the voice of Bon Scott along with his ability to manipulate his voice to sound like that of Brian Johnson, thus giving you the full sounds of AC/DC. As the youngest member of THUNDERSTRUCK, Elio Sepulveda emanates the essence of Angus Young and his skills with a guitar. Growing up idolising the classic rock and hard Rock era, showing there is no generational boundary to AC/DC’s music. Nicholas Hunt is the driving force behind the sound with his authority on the drums, bringing the feel of Phill Rudd’s power to Thunderstruck. Jade Stafford joins the band as a permanent member, after being on stand-bye as the f ill in on rhythm guitar. He is responsible for the broad sweep of the bands sound bringing in the Malcolm Young aspect. Dave Beaton brings with him over 25 years of experience he fulfills the role of Cliff Williams on Bass guitar, completing the sounds of ACDC’s rhythm section, giving you the complete package. 2022, was a huge year for the guys being invited to the UK for Scotland’s BONFEST, a festival dedicated to the one and only Bon Scott, to an absolute amazing reaction and plaudits. They were also called on to entertain the enormous crowd at the PHILLIP ISLAND MotoGP. In fact they seem to be the call on band for many a big event’s, such is their prowess and standing in the Tribute scene.
THUNDERSTRUCK have spent many years playing at venues around Australia and receiving standing ovations and huge audience reaction as they belt out classics such as ‘Long Way To The Top’, ‘High Voltage’, ‘Back In Black’, ‘Thunderstruck’, ‘TNT’, ‘Dirty Deeds’ and from the recent albums ‘BLACK ICE’ with the single ‘Rock and Roll Train’ also ‘ROCK or BUST’ with the hit from that, ‘Play Ball’ and right up to the latest, ‘Demon Fire’, from the latest ‘POWER UP’ CD. Depending on the venue requirements, THUNDERSTRUCK deliver 2 outstanding one hour plus sets, or one full concert format of over 100 minutes of AC/DC’s amazing repertoire of songs. This is a dynamic performance not to be missed.
HISTORY: The roots of the band started in Melbourne in 1988 as “BACK IN BLACK”. In 1994 the band’s name changed to become the iconic “THUNDERSTRUCK”. Throughout the years there have been several line-up changes, with a huge re-start in 2005, eventually resulting in the THUNDERSTRUCK you see today, bringing a refreshed energy, creating a High Voltage Rock and Roll show.
