The Royal High Jinx are Melbourne’s enchanting contemporary world music band, taking the Australian festival scene by storm with their originality, virtuosity, and theatrical flair. Drawing inspiration from European traditions, their music blends Gypsy Jazz, Folk Cabaret and circus.
Their unforgettable live shows are a joyous explosion of sound and movement, tight vocal harmonies, infectious originals, dazzling costumes, and crowd interaction.
Described as the “Balkan Abba” for their catchy songs and glamourous live performances, The Royal High Jinx have released three dynamic albums and are now launching music from their highly anticipated fourth. They captivated European crowds during their Gone Gone Gone Germany Tour and have performed at major festivals across Australia and Europe.
As People’s Choice nominees at the 2023, 2024 and 2025 Australian Folk Music Awards, they are thrilled to be returning to Ararat to celebrate with audiences at this year’s ‘Cozy Concerts‘ series
