Canadian-born musician Steve Poltz will return to Ararat on Wednesday 27 November thanks to Ararat Live and the Ararat Town Hall.

Steve has a collection of ballads, rock tunes and melodic acoustic numbers that are played in his own finger picking technique.

Steve was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada moved to California and is now based in Nashville.  He is well known in American folk circles as the singer/songwriter who co-wrote the 90’s mega hit ‘You Were Meant For Me’ with pop songstress Jewel.  He was a founding member of the indie-rock band Rugburns.  Since then he has travelled the world with his trusty guitars performing his unique brand of quirky and delightful songs.  His songs regularly appear in movie soundtracks, television shows, and the odd commercial.

Joe Daly wrote this about him – “His live shows have captivated audiences far and wide with a mix of singing, storytelling, shredding, and the occasional spoken word rants which have been known to incite riots. He can take an audience from laughter to tears and back again in the space of the same song. Steve Poltz transcends the word “talented.” He is unforgettable in all the right ways.”

Tickets are $40 per adult. Limited tickets available – book early! Click on the link to the left to purchase.
