Fast Track Talent Show

Fast Track Talent Showcases invite performers of all levels of ability to participate in its events.

The Fast Track program creates an encouraging performance environment, positive networking
experience, and an opportunity to showcase talent in a professional setting. Fast Track brings
like-minded people together to celebrate artists and performers and to entertain audiences and
communities.

Previous contestants from Fast Track showcases include: Isaiah (Winner of X Factor Australia
2016, Eurovision 2017), Isabella Clarke (Junior Eurovision 2017), Bella Paige (The Voice 2018)
and many more… this year it could be YOU!!

Fast Track Talent Showcases are supportive, fun, educational and the largest of their kind in the
country. The program is open to all performers aged 5 years and older and is specifically looking
for amazing talent, especially singers, dancers, bands, dance troupes, musicians, comedians,
etc. The Fast Track program prides itself on running fantastic events that encourage performers,
where every contestant is acknowledged. Fast Track values giving new performers a platform
and an opportunity to gain more experience and those with more training, have the chance to
gain exposure and receive feedback from industry professionals.

Information about the Heats:
Heats will be held at the Ararat Town Hall, Friday 3 August with registration of artists at 4pm and
heats running from 6pm to approximately 10pm.
Entry is free of charge and contestant's friends and family are encouraged to come and support
artists – entry for audience is also free of charge.

Four winners will be selected from the heats and will take part in an exclusive workshop with
Isaiah and a facilitator 2pm – 3.30pm Saturday August 4th 2018 at Ararat Town Hall. At
5pm, the winners will perform in a curtain raiser as a support to Isaiah Live in Concert.
Terms and conditions:
-All contestants must be5 (five) years of age by 1st July 2018 in order to participate.
-All contestants under the age of 18 (eighteen) years of age must have permission from
their legal parent or guardian to enter the competition and must also be accompanied by
an adult whilst in the venue.
-This event is open to only those performers who LIVE, WORK or STUDY in the area
that comprises Ararat Rural City.
-Fast Track Talent Showcases reserve the right to choose who takes part in the live
events based on the online application. Contestants will be notified via email or phone
should their application be successful.
-Entry into this event is FREE
-Fast Track will accept all performance genres including, but not limited to, Singing,
Dancing, Bands, Dance Troupes, Comedians, Rappers, Musicians, etc.
-Contestants/Acts may perform to a backing/instrumental track, accompany themselves
or have an accompanist. Contestants/Acts may perform as a duo, trio or group.
-Contestants/Acts must provide all backing tracks on USB or CD only, on the day of the
event as specified in the information email provided. Contestants are to use mp3 files
only – no video files.

-A performer may choose to enter as soloist and as part of a duo, trio, group under a
different performance name.
-Each performer/act will be required to prepareONE performance piece(maximum 5
minutes). After all the acts have performed in the Showcase, the judges will adjudicate
and the results will be announced.
-All Contestants/Acts are encouraged to bring family/friends to the Showcase event to
ensure there is a good support group in front of the artist at all times.
-There will be no charge for tickets to the Showcase.
-Contestants/Acts who fail to register at the correct time without prior notice may be
disqualified.
-The Judges’ decisions are final.
-Prizes and categories may be added or omitted at the Organiser’s discretion.
-Showcase winners have the chance to take home trophies, cash/vouchers and a
musical instrument sponsored by Yamaha Music.4 (four) lucky contestants will be
invited back to perform the following night (Sat August 4), alongside Isaiah Firebrace in
his concert at the Ararat Town Hall.
-Fast Track provides a positive and constructive performance environment for artists of
all ages and experience. All acts will be judged on a range of criteria specific to each
talent, i.e., Vocal or Dance Technique, Stage Presence/Audience Connection, Story
Telling/Narrative (song or dance), Other (presentation, instruments, training).
-Fast Track Talent Showcases are designed to provide a positive and encouraging
performance experience for everyone. We ask competitors, family and friends to support
us in maintaining this positive environment at all times. Anyone disrespecting this will be
asked to remove themselves from the event.
-You formally approve Fast Track Talent Showcases & Yoyo Music Management to use
your name, image and video to promote both yourself and the Fast Track Talent
Showcases while you are involved in the showcases and after you finish. This promotion
can take place on any marketing mediums which achieve exposure for both parties at
any time in the future. Please let a member of our team if you do not wish your
photographs or footage to be used.
