Award winning songwriter Tiffany Eckhardt has written and recorded 11 independent releases and has been adopted by the Australian festival circuit as a firm favourite. Her folk/roots music is inspired by nature and the human spirit and has received rave reviews and airplay across the country. Now based in Tasmania, Tiffany is currently studying a Masters of Music Therapy at Melbourne University . She also facilitates community music projects and directs ‘The Little Boat Choir’ Franklin.
In March 2022, Tiffany Eckhardt recorded her most recent release. Starry Stuff was recorded live over 2 days by musician, technician Jed Pickett at the Rolling on the River Studio in the Huon Valley, Tasmania. The band consists of some of the finest Tasmanian musicians including Dave Steel (guitars), Ross Smithard (violin, mandolin), Louis Gill ( bass), Jeremy Marcotte (drums) and Matt Boden (piano).
The songs pick up on themes of motherhood, change and stargazing… she describes it as …”an album about life changes and how to cope with them”…With a sound inspired by albums such as Neil Young’s Comes a Time and Lucinda Williams’ Wrecking Ball, it is 11 heart-melting gems reflecting influences of folk, jazz and blues.
