Damon Smith
A Foyer Cozy Concert
Damon Smith is a Music Victoria Award-winning pianist, singer-songwriter, and performer known for his powerful blend of blues, rock and roll, jazz, and soul. With seven albums released in the past seven years, Damon continues to craft emotionally rich, genre-defying music that resonates with both audiences and critics. His 2023 album A Fresh Harvest From Old Seeds topped the Australian Blues and Roots charts, following the release of Skeletons Skeletons Skeletons, which further solidified his standing as a bold and original artist.
In 2025, Damon was selected as a semi-finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, representing Australian blues on an international stage. His live shows are celebrated for their virtuosity, storytelling, humour, and heart. From thundering New Orleans piano grooves to delicate ballads, Damon delivers performances that are both technically brilliant and deeply human.
He has performed at major festivals including Port Fairy Folk Festival, Festival of Voices, Blues on Broadbeach, and Adelaide Cabaret Festival, and has shared stages with Bernard Fanning, Boy & Bear, and Johnny Diesel. Collaborative highlights include work with Ali McGregor and Barney McAll.
