The Ararat Eisteddfod promotes and fosters an enjoyment and love of dance by providing a performance platform where dance students can showcase their abilities.  We nurture each dancer’s personal development, encouraging self improvement by way of a “critique” from a professional adjudicator.  Students perform across a range of Ballet and Theatrical genres, in solos, duos/trios or as part of a troupe.

The Ararat Eisteddfod which has been held since 1955, is run entirely by a volunteer committee and has experienced rapid growth in the last decade leading it to have the reputation of being one of the most friendly and efficiently run eisteddfods in Victoria.

Dance students and their families from across Regional Victoria, metropolitan Melbourne and some interstate visitors converge on Ararat every September to compete at the Ararat Eisteddfod.
